About Becky
Becky Wetzler is an artist and interior designer from Seattle, Washington who now lives in the Washington DC area. Her process draws inspiration and strength from nature, green living, and spirituality; reflecting the dreams of her clients onto condos, homes, and canvases alike.
Becky’s career as an interior designer unofficially started before she could read or write. At the tender age of 3, with crayons in hand, she “helped” her grandmother redecorate her house by drawing a rainbow of colors down the hallway. She never forgot the delight brought on by expressing herself and since that day has continued to study and practice, honing her skills to match her passions.
Becky graduated from Principia College in Elsah, IL where she majored in Studio Arts with a minor in environmental science. During her studies, she was exposed to the creation of aesthetically pleasing, interactive, and functional 3-Dimensional artworks. She then went on to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design from Bellevue College in Bellevue, WA.
Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, Becky wanted to strike out on her own and make something of herself professionally and independent of familial support, so in the past several years she has accepted professional design opportunities in different states to expand her artistic style and skill set. She prides herself in her versatility of design, and enjoys experimenting with new textures, fabrics, and innovative techniques.
Becky has 6 years of professional Interior Design experience. For 4-1/2 years she worked in Florida under a licensed interior designer focusing primarily on residential design and renovation. Based on the effective communication and presentation of her designs, she earned herself a preferred designer status with the area’s largest beach resort. Becky won Interior Designer of the Year in both 2016 and 2017 for highest design and sales volume, and with greatest customer satisfaction. She was also recognized by the local Congressman for this achievement. Now in Washington DC, she is an Allied Professional member with ASID, and her current pursuit is for NCIDQ and LEED certifications. Having spent the last 6 years gaining extensive and invaluable design experience, she is eager now to pursue her design passion in a new and challenging environment.
